I just graduated from OU three years ago. Its actually a great school. And yes, we get a hell of a lot of tornadoes down here.
you did? that’s awesome! i just have a gut feeling about the place, and then any time i’ve driven through OK people have been super nice… idk, i’ve moved cross country before but never for school, so I’m kind of nervous about it BUT at the same time, I can just dive into science and the weather and people that feel the same way about it that I do. I want to do mesoscale research, so… definitely the place to be :)
How’s the cost of living down there?
We’re the cheapest state to live in. Seriously. =)

Id double check the pet policy though. But even if campus-based doesnt, Norman is 100% a college town. A ton of pet friendly, cheap furnished apartments around.
My only concern is that my credit is absolutely terrible, and I’ll probably be filing for Chap. 7 when I have the money… idk if I’d be able to find a decent place off campus if they run my credit.
tbh, money is my biggest issue right now, but the fact that I’m 27 and work 10 hrs a week really comes in handy when it comes to financial aid lol
I know the general undergrad dorms don’t allow pets, but I think they’ve got family housing, and that might. I’d honestly call and ask and get prices and things. Do you have anyone who’d be able to co-sign with you? Again, it’s a college town, so 95% of the sophomores renting apartments off campus have co-signers anyway. Housing really isn’t that expensive in Norman, which is nice.
